Diabetes:Differences between types 1 and 2

Diabetes:Differences between types 1 and 2-These diabetes develop as a result of the body which is unable to adequately store and use glucose, which is needed for energy production. Sugar, or glucose, accumulates in the blood and does not enter the cells that need it, resulting in severe complications.

Diabetes
Type1 Vs Type 2 Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes

The primary distinction between the two forms of diabetes is that type 1 is an inherited disease that frequently manifests early in life, while type 2 is primarily diet-related and progresses over time. Your immune system attacks and destroys those insulin-producing cells in your pancreas if you do have type 1 diabetes. The good news is that today’s therapies allow Diabetic people with type 1 diabetes to learn to control the disorder’s symptoms while still living a comparatively “regular” life.

Symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes

  • Increased thirst
  • Urination on a Regular Basis
  • Unknown cause of weight loss
  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Vision Hazard

Risk Factor in Type-1 Diabetes

  • Having a family history of diabetes
  • Being born with some genetic characteristics that influence how the body develops or uses insulin
  • Certain health issues, such as cystic fibrosis or hemochromatosis
  • Potentially, vulnerability to certain diseases or viruses, such as mumps or rubella cytomegalovirus

Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes was formerly known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes. However, it has become more popular among children and teenagers over the last 20 years, owing to an increase in the number of young people who are overweight or obese. Type 2 diabetes affects about 90% of diabetics.

When you have type 2 diabetes, the pancreas produces insulin. However, either it is insufficient or the body does not use it properly. Insulin resistance occurs when the cells do not respond to insulin. It most often occurs in fat, liver, and muscle cells.

Type 2 diabetes is often less severe than type 1. However, it can also cause serious health problems. Especially in the tiny blood vessels in your kidneys, nerves, and eyes. Type 2 diabetes also increases the chances of heart disease and stroke.

  • Urination on a regular basis
  • Numbness in the palms or feet
